Hi, I’m Ida!

I’m a photographer and videographer in Mallorca.
Here is where you get to know me.

My Story

I’m a photographer and videographer from Sweden.

I left for paradise beaches and the crystal clear Mediterranean back in 2011, because, being from different parts of Sweden, my now husband Andreas and I couldn’t decide where in Sweden we wanted to live. So we moved countries.

After more than a decade living and working in Mallorca, I consider this tiny island my forever home.

In 2014 I photographed my friends wedding in Mallorca, and it sparked my interest and love for weddings. Because how could you not love happy, smiling people enjoying the best day of their lives in beautiful outfits!

My passion for portraits began long before that, and I bought my first camera in 2007. When my friends used up their budget on travels I put it all towards my camera equipment. It was a huge investment as a 19 year old, but something I’ve never regretted.

That I would do this professionally one day wasn’t that surprising to many, even though, I never believed it was possible. But thanks to my partner Andreas, who frequently asked me to get my old Canon out to take photos of him for his website and blog, I started taking photography more seriously and eventually realised I could pursue this as a career.

In 2023 I competed in Photography for the first time - and won! I was chocked, amazed and almost in tears at the stage, receiving the gold medal and statue.

I’m definitely hooked and will compete more. My goal for 2024 is to make it to the finals in more categories and I plan to send photos in Wedding Open, Wedding Reportage, Fine art, Classic portrait, documentary and commercial. Wish me luck!

My first time in Mallorca in 1988. My mum and I sitting by the Alconasser sign on our way from Port de Soller to Deia. It was my parents honeymoon and apparently I didn’t like the mountain route in the taxi to Port de Soller (sorry taxi driver!). This was before the tunnel was built…
